If you believe in global warming, overpopulation, and overpollution, and if you want to reduce the total amount of human suffering in the long run, shouldn’t you want the world and U.S.economies to be in a constant state of recession or even depression? That’s really the only long-term solution to these problems—negative growth. We shrink everything or billions die.
